| Course Description |
A continuation of practices and techniques used in basic computer-aided drafting emphasizing advanced dimensioning techniques, the development and use of prototype drawings, construction of pictorial drawings, construction of three-dimensional drawings, interfacing 2D and 3D environments and extracting data. |

This course is intended to give students workforce skills in the CAD field.

- Lectures introduce new material.
- Exercises allow the instructor to lead students through the material the first time.
- Projects provide opportunities for students to practice with the new tools on their own.

At the completion of this course, the student will have demonstrated the ability to:
• Create attributed blocks
• Print drawing sheets from paper space using layouts and viewports
• Create and export a tool palette
• Work with annotative objects
• Create and insert tables
• Create drawing template files and base new drawings on them
• Edit dynamic blocks in the Block Editor
• Create named UCSs
• Create named views
• Insert and manipulate external references
• Create a 3-dimensional model
