DFTG 2430 Civil Drafting Course Syllabus

Course Description An in-depth study of drafting methods and principles used in public works civil engineering.
Rationale This course is intended to give students workforce skills in the CAD field.
Instructional Methodology
  • Lectures introduce new material.
  • Exercises allow the instructor to lead students through the material the first time.
  • Projects provide opportunities for students to practice with the new tools on their own.
Prerequisites DFTG 2419
Objectives/Outcomes At the completion of this course, the student will have demonstrated the ability to:
 Apply knowledge of AutoCAD Land Desktop software functionality.
 Distinguish basic principles of Surveying and Engineering Design.
Grade Determination Grading policies are determined by individual instructors or course coordinators.
