General Description

The Data Analyst/Architect works under the direction of the Manager of Information Systems Architecture and performs highly advanced (senior-level) database design and analysis work, including data modeling and canonical modeling.   • Oversees the design of data models of database structures that depict present and proposed systems and develops policies and procedures designed to ensure the integrity of the agency data/database environment.
  • Oversees logical data modeling and canonical modeling, evaluates relational database models and canonical models, reviews physical data models created from logical data models and reviews message structures.  –OR—Oversees data design or canonical message design projects that cross functional agency systems and other state entities that require coordinating, planning, and scheduling during project development and implementation stages.
  • Develops and implements data and canonical messaging policies and procedures related to TRS systems and makes recommendations concerning agency direction in data and canonical messaging.
  • Oversees migration to new data management system and canonical messaging system software levels, and ensures that migrations are appropriately tested and validated.
  • Oversees the development of budgets for data management systems and required support levels and for canonical messaging management systems and required support levels.
  • Assesses future information requirements, and develops goals and objectives for the improvement and use of an efficient and cost-effective data system design.
  • Evaluates policies and procedures to guide in the use of canonical messaging.
  • Evaluates standards and oversees the implementation of necessary canonical message security controls.
  • Conducts research and investigations into potential solutions for data and canonical messaging related problems.
  • Participates on special projects and committees.
  • May plan, assign, and/or supervise the work of others.
  • Performs related work as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (or High School graduation or equivalent and substitute full-time responsible work experience in data design or database development for the required education on a year for year basis.)
  • Seven years experience in data design, computer systems, data analysis, or database development work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using data modeling software tools such as Embarcadero ER/Studio Data Architect or CA Erwin.
  • Experience with MS Visio or other comparable flowcharting software.

JOB FUNCTIONS
General Description: Provides comprehensive technical assistance and customer service to TRS members regarding all TRS benefits programs, via the telephone in a call center environment. Work involves responding to and resolving complex telephone inquiries and complaints, including researching and analyzing complex situations to identify causes of problems and determine appropriate resolutions; explaining benefit options, including eligibility requirements and limitations; and providing general information and referral services on related benefit programs such as Social Security and Medicare. Works under limited supervision with moderate latitude for initiative and independent judgment within the limits of established procedures.
Other essential duties include, but are not limited to:
• Counsels members via the telephone regarding benefit options; responds to complex inquiries from and provides assistance to members, school district officials and other interested parties; and researches and resolves complaints and complex problems regarding service and disability retirements, projected benefits, health insurance, refunds, death benefits, purchase of special service, employment after retirement, district reporting requirements, agency forms and other issues, including:
◊ Receiving and processing requests for informational booklets and forms.
◊ Performing detailed research and analysis of computer, microfiche and paper member records, and conferring with Benefit Processing, Legal, Accounting and other TRS staff.
◊ Interpreting and explaining TRS laws and other applicable regulations, rules, policies, procedures, processes and forms.
◊ Determining and explaining benefit options and the financial and tax consequences of those options.
◊ Determining and implementing or recommending appropriate actions needed to resolve issues or implement member requests, including advising members, school district officials and other interested parties on actions they must take.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. (Or high school graduation or equivalent and full-time experience in banking, accounting, claims processing, benefit processing or a customer service-related position involving interpreting, applying and communicating complex laws, regulations and policies may be substituted for the required college education on a year for year basis.)
• Two additional years of full-time experience in banking, accounting, claims processing, benefit processing or a customer service-related position involving interpreting, applying and communicating complex laws, regulations and policies.
Additional Requirements for RSBS IV:
• Successful completion of TRS Telephone Counselor training and new hire probation period.
• Detailed knowledge of TRS benefits programs and skill in interpreting, explaining and applying complex TRS laws, regulations, policies and procedures.

General Description

The Portfolio Strategy and Execution Investment Associate works under the direction of the Director of Portfolio Strategy and Execution and performs routine to moderately complex professional investments research and analysis with a primary focus on developing investment management, research and analysis knowledge and skills.  Primary duties include development, monthly updating and performance measurement of Tactical Asset Allocation (TAA) models.   • Assists investment managers in performing due diligence research and analysis for potential investment opportunities and/or external strategies.
  • Assists in performing fundamental and statistical investment analysis for potential investment opportunities, including basic investment computations (i.e., return multiples, correlations, volatility analysis, attribution analysis, etc.), using any reliable printed or electronic media, partnership offering memoranda, and one on one contact with general and limited partners.
  • Assists investment managers in conducting strategic research, asset allocation analysis and/or risk management.
  • Assists investment managers in analyzing performance attribution using proprietary models.
  • Assists in evaluating portfolio diversification by geography, industry, and sub-asset class.
  • Assists in conducting investment research on various industries, companies or countries using computer databases.
  • Assists in the maintenance/improvement of existing and in the development of new quantitative and valuation models and techniques for investment diversification and risk management.
  • Assists in researching and analyzing national, international, macro/micro economic and/or business conditions that directly affect TRS investments.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in finance, economics, or a closely related field. 
  • One year of full-time professional investments experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • The relevant work experience in one of the following types of investment entities: (1) a pension plan with current total assets greater than $10B; (2) a major “sell-side” research firm; or (3) a large “buy-side,” asset-management firm (including long-only, hedge funds, and limited partnerships) with current assets-under-management (AUM) exceeding $10B.
  • Experience with one or more of the following data platforms: Matlab, Factset, Datastream, STATA.
  • Certification in (or working towards) one or more of the following designations:
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
  • Chartered Alternative Investments Analyst (CAIA)
  • Financial Risk Manager (FRM).

General Description
The Voice & Data Network Specialist works under the direction of the Manager of Network Infrastructure & Support and performs advanced data network and computer administration work. Work involves senior level operational support and management of agencies enterprise messaging systems, e-mail archive and retention applications, virus protection, SPAM and content filtering, and Active Directory infrastructure components as they relate to the Microsoft Exchange environment. This position will also serve in a support and monitoring capacity for a number of critical web and web application servers. Essential Job Functions Participates as a member of the team responsible for the planning, installation, configuration, monitoring and maintenance of a large Microsoft local area network with a focus on enterprise messaging systems and web application services. Assists in analyzing agency messaging and network system needs and in designing systems to meet those needs. Installs and test network hardware and software, performs routine maintenance and applies vendor updates to software. Troubleshoots and resolves complex network and server hardware and software problems. Monitors and meters network applications to ensure compliance with licensing agreements. Maintains the operating system and security software utilized on the network, including the addition of new users to the network and establishment of rights and privileges. Maintains network physical and logical structures, including all network connections. Evaluates new network hardware, software and upgrades to existing software to identify strengths, weaknesses, and potential benefits to the agency, and makes recommendations regarding purchase of software and hardware. Coordinates with other TRS staff to maintain network security and to ensure a fully integrated information systems environment. Conducts performance tuning and capacity planning to enhance the performance of network resources. Assists and consults with the application groups on application design issues as they relate to network performance. Assists in the development, maintenance and testing of the agency's disaster recovery plan, processes and procedures necessary to recovery services in the event of a disaster.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Computer Science, Data Processing, MIS, Math, Business or a related area (or High School graduation or equivalent and substitute full-time work experience in a technically oriented field such as information systems, telecommunications, or computer operations for the required education on a year for year basis). Four additional years of full-time, recent network experience, including three years administering a large Microsoft Exchange environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience 

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university  with major course work in human resources, public administration, management, business, organizational development, adult education or a related field.
  • Ten years of full-time professional Human Resources generalist experience.
  • Seven years supervisory or management experience, to include four years directly supervising or managing human resources programs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three years experience serving as the senior human resources administrator for an organization or as a member of an executive team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (or High School graduation or equivalent and may substitute full-time work experience in information systems analysis, business analysis, retirement system benefits administration, or related experience for the required education on a year for year basis).
  • Three additional years of full-time information systems analysis, business analysis, business process design, retirement system benefits administration, or related experience.

Job Description: We are searching for a contract, semiconductor electrical/controls design engineer for this project.
This is a long-term (6-9 month) contract with our client working on-site at their client. This position requires a certain level of customer service, as well as, technical acumen. You will be working in a R&D facility on a team with some of the brightest minds in the semiconductor industry and be responsible for helping to design a next generation semiconductor processing tool.
As a electrical/control design engineer you will be responsible for capturing ideas of the team and implementing those ideas into a working design. You will work on the design phase for new tools going into prototype production in December 2011. You must be capable for working autonomously, as well as, with the team. Work involves equipment design using Pro/Engineer.
An understanding of the above criteria is required, along with experience in validation of these criteria through component and system testing. Pro-E design experience is necessary. Prior experience working with motion control wafer handling and robotics is a plus.
Minimum BSEE with 3-8 years work experience is required. Customer service skills are required as job responsibilities will include managing and maintaining customer relationship.
