NOTE: ACC Counselors want to ensure students are equipped with the tools needed to make the best decisions for maximizing their college experience and achieving their objectives. Services are available to assist students in selecting a major that is right for them.

To increase awareness regarding the various career services available, ACC places a registration hold (CRR) on the records of students who have not declared a major by the completion of 15 credit hours and again at 30 credit hours.

Once a student is aware of these services and on his/her way to exploring the various possibilities, an ACC counselor ends the hold. It is not necessary to declare a major for the registration hold to be ended. We have found that discussing goals with a counselor and identifying resources can help point students in the direction to a fulfilling career path.
