23 Early High School Graduates– Exemption from the payment of up to $2,000 in tuition. Eligible students must contact the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.

Children in Foster or Other Residential Care Students under Conservatorship of the Dept of Family and Protective Services (54.211) - Exemption from payment of tuition and fees. One-Year Exemption for Certain TANF Students - Exemption from the payment of tuition and fees. The student must be a Texas resident that was a dependent child receiving financial assistance under Chapter 31 for at least six months of the year of high school graduation. Student must enroll in college within 2 years of high school graduation and must be younger than 22 years of age

Educational Aides - Exemption from payment of tuition and fees other than lab fees. The student must be a Texas resident and for the initial semester for which the person receives an exemption must have worked as an educational aid for at least one school year during the five years preceding that semester. An application for certification must be filed with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board who then determines eligibility.

Combat Exemption for Children of Military Service Members - Exemption from payment of tuition and fees. Student must be a Texas resident or be entitled to pay resident tuition and have a parent who is a member of the U.S. Armed Forces who is deployed or on active duty during the semester the student is registered. Eligible students must be 25 or younger on the first day of the semester for which the exemption is claimed. Ad Valorem (130.0032)- Allows a person who resides outside the district and who owns property subject to ad valorem taxation by the district, or a dependent of the person, to pay tuition at the rate applicable to a student who resides in the district.
