Here you will find links to all documents and materials you will need for your 16 week Intermediate Algebra Distance Learning Course. You will need to be sure to read and familiarize yourself with everything contained in these pages before getting started with the course.
Before you enroll in this course, you should decide whether a distance learning course is right for you and ensure that you have met the prerequisite for the course. Please read through the advising information found here.
I will use your ACCmail address for all email communication. If you use a different email address, be sure to set up your ACCmail to forward to the address you use. While I may reply to an email coming from a different address, I will initiate all contact through your ACCmail address. Never assume that I will contact you by an outside email address just because we may have used it for some communication.
Once you have registered for and paid for the course, log in to Blackboard and complete the Orientation and Pretest. You must do this before the end of the first week of classes. If you have not completed the Orientation and Pretest by Friday, February 15, you may be dropped from the course. If you are enrolled, the course should be available in Blackboard, and for registration in MyMathLab, starting Monday, January 7.
By the end of the first week of classes, you should have completed all of the following:
*If you scored 70% or higher on the pretest, and you are confident that this course is the best placement for you, you may go ahead and register permanently, with your purchased MyMathLab access.
Once you begin working on the course material, you will need to stick to the weekly schedule for the course. All course related documents can be found here. Print and read all of the Getting Started handouts right away.
