Old pictures:
Raising the floor trusses with only two people was a challenge. You can probably see the ramps with 2x4's nailed to them to create resting spots. The heaviest trusses we lifted weigh 182 pounds.

Richard nailed the runners that hold them stable

It'll be a shame to cover these beauties up with drywall...

These subfloor sheets are 1 1/8 inch thick, which makes for some pretty heavy plywood. The sheets are glued and nailed to the trusses.

After a few days the floor was done.

Then came the rake walls and stairway.

Richard started the first course of wall sheathing.

This is more tiring than it looks.

But it's starting to look like a house, so it's all worth it! Sure hope Emily doesn't have much energy stored up for Central Texas...
