New Medications of 2004 (Provides 2.0 Continuing Nursing Education Contact Hours)

Training Module Objectives

Upon completion of this program the student will be able to:

Identify the trade or generic name classification, dosage/delivery fact or nursing action/safety precaution that you will take during administration of each of the new drugs that have appeared on the market during the year of 2004.
List the conditions that the new pain medications can be used for concurrently.
Identify the unique characteristics of the three (3) new drugs for cancer and what types of cancer they are being used for.
Discuss the use of the new biologic entity for Alcohol Dependence.
List possible resources available to access information about medications.
