Describe the purposes of the following advanced directive documents: Durable Power of Attorney, Living Will and Out-of-Hospital Do-Not Resuscitate Order.
Describe the Patient Self-determination Act of 1991
State three problems encounter with implementation of the Patient Self-determination Act.
Explain the importance of communication within families to prepare for a medical crisis.
List two situations which may void a living Will.
State the rules governing who may and who may not witness a Living Will.
Discuss the role of the Ethics Committee
