Choral/Jazz Ensembles |
The ACC Choral Department has 3 major ensembles. All ensembles meet at the Northridge and are by audition. There are two concerts per semester, and sometimes additional performances off campus. The choirs meet in the fall and spring semesters. The Northridge Singers: MUEN 1143 College Choir MW 10:15-11:55 Auditioned choir MW 1:00-2:40 Non-auditioned choir These SATB choirs perform literature from many genres, including: Classical, Spiriutals, Gospel, Folk Songs, A Cappella, and Musical Theatre.
T/TH Vocal Jazz: MUEN 1142 Jazz Choir Ensemble, T/TH 5:35-7:15PM This auditioned mixed vocal jazz ensemble performs "one on a mic" with a live rhythm section. Vocalists and instrumentalists are encouraged to audition. Jazz styles include music from the swing era, latin jazz, and pop music arranged in jazz style. The group's size ranges from 10-14 singers.
