Hard Drive Install
1) Necessary files

Zip file containing all of the install files. |
2) Get the zip file and unzip it to a directory. (try a directory called freesco on the desktop)
3) Next run make_fd.bat
4) When that completes you will have a bootable linux router on a floppy. Use this to boot the router.
5) Once it has booted log in as root using password root.
6) Type move2hdd and press enter. It will ask you to confirm it and then setup the HD.
7) Go to a win 9X machine and do a format /s a: on a blank floppy. This will make a bootable floppy which you will boot to.
8) Reboot the router and insert the 9X boot disk. when it is booted type attrib -s -h *.* and hit enter. Now type copy a:\*.* c:\ and hit enter. This copies the neccisary files to the HD so it will boot.
9) Type edit c:\autoexec.bat and then enter the following line
in the editor.
c:\router.bat
10) exit the editor saving the changes. remove the floppy and reboot the system. All you have to do now is confiure the router.
