Fall Course Schedule - 12 Week Semester

The purpose of this rough schedule is to help you pace yourself during the semester. My Late Policy for programming assignments and tests is included in the course syllabus. Absolute deadlines are also listed in this schedule. Assignments should be sent by email to wheels@austin.cc.tx.us.

9/27	Chapter 2 - Control Structures Complete Program 1 - Due 10/2.
10/4	Chapter 3 - Functions Complete Program 2 - Due 10/9.
10/11	Chapter 3 - Functions (continued)
10/18	Exam 1 - Chapters 1-3. Due 10/23. Complete Program 3 - Due 10/23. Chapter 4 - Arrays
10/25	Chapter 5 - Pointers and Strings
11/1	Complete Program 4 - Due 11/6 (try to finish this program earlier so you can get started on the next program). Exam 2 - Chapters 4 - 5. Due 11/6. Chapter 6 - Classes and Data Abstraction
11/8	Chapter 6 - Classes and Data Abstraction (continued) Complete Program 5 - Due 11/13.
11/15	Chapter 11 - Stream Input/Output
11/22	Chapter 14 - File Processing (sections 14.1 - 14.6 only) Complete Program 6 - Due 11/27.
11/29	Dynamic Memory section 7.6 - new and delete operators sections 15.1 - 15.3 - dynamic memory allocation Programs 1 - 6 will not be accepted after Saturday, Dec. 4, 1999. Exams 1 & 2 will not be accepted after Saturday, Dec. 4, 1999.
12/6	section 15.4 - Linked Lists Complete Program 7. Program 7 will not be accepted after Saturday, Dec. 11, 1999. Exam 3 - Chapters 6, 11, 14, 7, 15 (only sections covered). Exam 3 will be available at all Testing Centers through Friday, Dec. 10, 1999 (see below for RVS deadline).
12/13	Exam 3 will be available at the RVS Testing Center through Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1999.
