HB 914 creates a new filing requirement for local government officers and certain persons who contract with or are considering doing business with local government entities to make certain financial and business disclosures. The Texas Ethics Commission has adopted and posted on the Ethics Commission website a conflicts disclosure statement and the conflict of interest questionnaire that filers will use to file with the appropriate local governmental entity beginning January 1, 2006.
