The Culinary Arts Department is going green!
The Culinary Arts Department is committed to working with
the college on it's overall goals per the passage of Sustainable Practices Policy C-9 in 2009. The department implemented a composting program in February 2012, has set a goal to completely phase out styrofoam by August 2012, and is developing relationships with local food suppliers. The department is now using recyclable or compostable to-go ware for the cafes they run on campus.

The Culinary Arts deparment is going green!
Beginning on February 1, 2012, ACC's Culinary Arts Department began composting all organic waste from our kitchens. Working directly with the college's Director of Environmental Stewardship, Andy Kim, we have devised new procedures that will allows us to divert a projected 80-85%of waste fromlandfills.
In addition to this effort, Le Bistrette will now only use compostable or recyclable to-go containers and cutlery. Read more here...
