We would like to extend our congratulations to the 2008 Fall Dance and Drama Scholarship recipients, Nisha Brown, Bonnie Cox, Leigh Gaymon-Jones, Christina Houle, Tiffany Nerem, and Mysti Pride.
ACC Dancer and Choreographer Christina Houle was selected to present a new work for Austin’s Big Range Dance Festival held in June 2008. Performing with Christina in “Orpheus Ascending” were ACC dancers Mysti Jace Pride, Megan McComic, Kristy Dixon and Victoria Pierce. The piece is currently being expanded into an hour–long work for Austin’s Frontera Fest.
ACC Dance students Mysti Jace Pride and Nisha Brown have formed their own contemporary dance company, J/TY DANCE EXPERIENCE. Their focus? “Our dances tell stories that engage audiences and inspire them to think in new and creative ways.”
