Business Administration

Build a business career from the ground up

Managing the day-to-day operations of a business is critical to its long-term success. The Business Administration Program at Austin Community College includes courses in business principles, accounting, and economics. In general studies courses you will develop a solid liberal arts background and the communication and critical thinking skills employers value.

Career Information

An associate degree in business administration qualifies students for basic and administrative roles in private, public, and nonprofit organizations. As with most professions, the more education you have, the more chances you will have to advance in your career and increase your salary potential. ACC’s Business Administration Program prepares you for transfer to a bachelor’s degree program at a four-year university and provides a foundation for a career in numerous related fields, such as finance, international business, and management information systems. You may be able to earn one of several certifications along the way.
