Advance your knowledge about the practice of teaching and learning

Future teachers can begin their educational pathway through Austin Community College’s Education Instruction Program. Students get an introduction to educational theory and method while they complete coursework that meets degree requirements at ACC and transfers toward a bachelor’s degree program at any four-year state institution in Texas.

Career Information

ACC provides a quality teacher preparation program by cultivating a realistic perspective of the teaching profession. Aspiring teachers develop the academic and reflective skills that will equip them to respond effectively to the diverse needs of an evolving society. Early childhood-through-sixth grade, fourth-through-eighth grade, and eighth-through-12th grade tracks are offered.
