Engineering

Design a more stable future

Are you interested in a job that requires an understanding of how things work? Engineering could be an exciting career path. Engineers apply the principles of physics and mathematics to design, develop, implement, and maintain structures and systems. Austin Community College’s Engineering Program helps you lay the foundation to pursue any type of engineering bachelor’s degree at a four-year program. In addition to building a solid background in chemistry, mathematics, and physics, you’ll explore engineering theory and gain project-based laboratory experience.

Career Information

A competitive but growing job sector, engineering will provide new opportunities for those who can master new software and technology in addition to traditional manual engineering skills. The median annual wage for engineering related job fields is much higher than the national average.
