Admission Requirements for Transfer Students

  • The median GPA range for accepted transfer students is 3.1-3.6 on a 4.0 scale. (Transfer Academic Scholarships are based on the cumulative transfer GPA.)
  • Must be eligible to return to any college or university attended
  • Plan to transfer no later than the end of your sophomore year (To receive a Baylor degree, at least 60 hours must be earned in residence at Baylor including the last 30.)
  • If you will have fewer than 24 credit hours, you must also meet Freshman admission standards. 
  • Spring admission: December 1 
  • Summer admission: May 15
  • Fall admission: June 15

Transfer Credit Information

  • Experience-based education accepted: No
  • Military experience accepted: Sometimes
  • CLEP Subject exams accepted: Yes
  • “D” grades are not accepted for transfer. GPA is calculated based on all work that has been completed including work with a grade less than C
