Blackboard Basics

Blackboard offers online access to faculty and students for courses taught at ACC.

You can create your own Blackboard course site to supplement each course you teach.

Blackboard allows you to publish documents online: your syllabi and course policies, assignments, external links, and even quizzes and polls/surveys.

In addition, Blackboard provides a gradebook, similar to Microsoft Excel, that allows you to record grades online and optionally make these accessible to students.

With Blackboard, you can create discussion boards and chat sessions, allowing students to interact. Voice boards are also available: students can record themselves and listen to others directly into the Blackboard interface.

Ready to get started?

• Log in to the Workshops site and search for available classes in Blackboard. Classes are offered both online and in-class through Professional Development .

• Get started quickly through the faculty support pages .
