Process (3 parts)
Part One: The Leadership
- Research. Use the resources provide or do your own search to find a biotechnology company that you are interested in. Be sure that you have access to adequate information (the CEO or founders, funding information, a company history, a description of research efforts and products/services offered. Be sure to note all of your sources of information.
- Take notes. Read about the company and take notes carefully. Be sure that you have sufficient information about one or more leaders of the company.
- Outline. Determine a logical order for your paper. Remember that you are a news reporter and you are writing a story about the person(or people) of interest.
- Write. Write a draft of your story. Be sure that your information is accurate and orderly. Check your grammar, spelling, and style to make sure your paper looks professional.
- Revise. Edit your paper. Consider going to an ACC tutoring lab and having a writing specialist look at your work. Be sure that your paper is of the appropriate length (designated by your instructor) and contains adequate information. It should be typed and written in standard English with a professional style.
- Write again. Create your final draft from your revisions.
Part Two: The Company Story
