English 1302 / Skrabanek
Course Textbook and Materials
Textbook
- The official course textbook for this section of English 1302 will be:
Fiction 100, James Pickering, 13th Edition
(Earlier editions of this textbook should work fine. You are required to read the discussion stories and stories needed to complete the assignments. Any source that allows you to do so is acceptable.)
* Try to find textbook bargains on Ebay's Half.com site. I've seen some good prices for the course textbook there, but you must allow for shipping time.
* I have also seen good prices on the regular Ebay site. You might also try Half-Price Books.
* You can order textbooks from ACC's online bookstore.
NOTE: You are expected to read the assigned stories. Most of your writing assignments are based on reading selections in Fiction 100. You may be able to find some stories online. Your failure to obtain this book or locate the stories does not excuse you from completing the assignments.
You will also need:
- Standard college dictionary
- Personal computer with Internet access and browser
- Word processing program that will produce double-spaced essays and save them in the rtf, doc, or docx format
- Email account
