Purchase textbooks and supplies
You are responsible for purchasing textbooks and supplies required for your Austin Community College courses. Books and supplies are available from the ACC Bookstores, as well as other outlets.

Required texts may be found at the ACC Bookstore on the campus at which the course is being offered. Distance Learning textbooks are available at the campus bookstore where the orientation is being held. For online orientations, textbooks are at the Rio Grande Bookstore. Generally the ACC libraries do not have textbooks available for checkout or loan.

Obtain a parking permit, if needed
You will need to purchase a permit if you intend to park on an ACC campus while attending class. ACC parking permits cost $10 per academic year. Permits expire August 31.

  1. Complete the parking permit request form
  2. Pay the $10 fee at the time you register for classes by selecting the option or stop by a campus Cashier’s Office.
  3. Take the paid receipt and the parking permit request form to the Campus Police Office to be assigned a parking permit hang-tag.
  4. Park only in designated areas, and display your parking permit at all times when parking on campus.

Submit a new ECS co-enrollment request each semester
You are required to submit a new co-enrollment request form each semester before you can register. But don't wait until registration. You can avoid long lines at the ACC Advising Office by completing your co-enrollment request form early in order to meet with an ACC advisor or counselor well before the registration period begins.
