Academic and workforce courses
Many ACC courses fulfill college degree requirements and are easily transferable to any Texas public college or university. Others are geared toward workforce needs and may not transfer. Students and counselors should check for transferability before approving ECS courses for enrollment. The course type—T for transfer-eligible or W for workforce-oriented—is indicated in the ACC Catalog course descriptions.

Non-credit Developmental Education courses are available for students who need assistance with their reading, writing, and/or mathematics skills. Early College Start students may take developmental courses; however, they must pay tuition and fees. Developmental courses count as part of the two-course maximum load.
