A follow-up session between a student and a high school counselor is the third step of the Early College Start co-enrollment process for students who required assessment testing. During this session, you will assist the ECS applicant by:
- Ensuring student has completed the web application process
- Providing the ECS forms
- Helping complete the co-enrollment request form
Providing ECS forms
The student should obtain the following forms from you, as needed:
ACC co-enrollment form
The ECS co-enrollment form provides specific course approval and must be submitted each semester before the student can register. The student should complete this form with you when selecting ACC courses.
Other forms you may need
Out-of-District Tuition Exemption Request For Early College Start students residing outside the ACC tax district. ECS fee waivers are available to students who 1) participate in an Early College Start class taught on a high school campus; 2) document participation in the federal free and reduced lunch program; or 3) document participation in a public assistance program such as TANF or WIA. Each individual high school determines which form is used for this purpose.
ECS Non-Citizen Student Data Form
For students who do not have a Social Security number.
Note: Students must obtain an alternate ACC number from the ACC International Office before using the web application process or scheduling testing.
Helping complete the co-enrollment request form
Confirm assessment results
The student’s assessment results establish what courses they may take at ACC. See
Course Restrictions, Prerequisites, and Other Requirements
Approve ACC courses
Each ACC course the student wishes to take must be listed on the ECS co-enrollment form and approved by you before meeting with an ACC advisor. Advisors do not list courses.
