November 20, 1993

This is the date of one of the most unbelievable football games in Boston College football history. On this day, BC defeated previously undefeated and number 1 ranked Notre Dame 41-39 in one of the more exciting games of the decade. Most of you probably have heard about this game.

But have you heard about the miracle? The picture below is a copy of my ticket to that game:

As you can see, the ticket displays a picture of "Moose" Krause displaying a single finger, evidently signifying that Notre Dame was ranked #1 in all the polls that day thanks to their victory over Florida State the previous week. On January 2, 1994, Florida State was voted to be the National Champion for that year, despite their one loss to Notre Dame. Notre Dame was ranked #2 on that day due to their loss of BC. I was shocked when I looked at my ticket stub for the BC game on January 2. The "Moose" Krause picture on the ticket now showed a second finger, indicating ND's final place in the polls. I took the ticket to my local priest, who in turn sent it to the Vatican for study. Experts in Rome were unable to explain how this occurred and concluded that it was a miracle.
