Physical therapist assistants work under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist to rehabilitate patients recovering from illness or injury. Prescribed activities are designed to improve mobility, relieve pain and prevent further injury. PTAs participate as a member of the health care team to make it possible for their patients to participate in life at its fullest.
