Salary Range: $56,100 - $104,195
Cost of Programs: $12,040 for Diagnostic Cardiovascular AAS and Advanced Technical Certificate; $12,350 for Medical Vascular AAS and Advanced Technical Certificate. Costs represent in-district tuition, which includes general fees and student fees.

Sonographers assess and record images of internal organs, tissues and blood flow obtained with high-frequency sound waves (ultrasound) for diagnostic purposes. Graduates are eligible to apply to take the ARDMS registry exams for abdomen and ob/gyn or adult echocardiography, depending on their ACC degree specialty. Graduates work in hospitals, physicians’ offices, medical clinics and research facilities. An enhanced skills certificate in vascular technology is also available to concurrent ACC AAS degree plan students, either community or hospital pharmacies.
