Purpose

The purpose of the Adjunct Faculty Staffing Committee is to support the fair application of the administrative rules relating to Adjunct Faculty workload and assignments.

Committee recommendations are forwarded to the Academic & Student Affairs Council.

Functions

  1. Regularly review and recommend revisions or updates to the administrative rules related to adjunct staffing. 
  2. Determine and prioritize appropriate data needs and work with data arms of the college to develop regular reports. Regularly review data and generate findings from reports to improve transparency and fairness in adjunct staffing processes.
  3. Review the “annual staffing” report shared by the Vice Chancellor of Instruction or Provost each semester and share comments with the Vice Chancellor of Instruction or Provost. 
  4. Make recommendations to ensure that any adjunct staffing technology is adequate to the staffing needs as well as the related reporting needs of the college as well as to the college’s expectations for fairness and transparency.
  5. Assist with clarifying intent and appropriate implementation of adjunct staffing rules. 
  6. Coordinate and serve as a liaison when data or other information requests related to adjunct staffing are submitted by the Adjunct Faculty Association.

Meets Virtually, 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., Twice a Semester, Tuesdays.
