ACC's selection of professional services and construction services are managed by the ACC Purchasing Department.

All Invitations for Bids and Requests for Proposals are advertised in local papers and posted on the web site. A copy can also be obtained at the Purchasing Department located in the ACC Service Center, 9101 Tuscany Way, Austin, Texas 78754. Our office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Copies of all IFBs and RFPs for construction are usually sent to the local Plan Rooms.
ACC’s BASIC RULES OF PURCHASING
These rules refer to the aggregate annual amount
- Purchases costing $5,000 or less require one quote
- Purchases $5,000 to $10,000 require three (3) written quotes. Where possible, at least one shall be a HUB Vendor
- Purchases exceeding $10,000 require formal bids by the Purchasing Department
Exceptions to the above rules apply when purchases of goods or services are applied against the sources listed below. ACC frequently purchases against these sources:
- Current ACC Contracts
- State of Texas Contract Purchases
Texas multiple award schedule (TXMAS)
- Cooperative Contract Purchases such as:
- BuyBoard (Texas Association of School Boards)
- TCPN (The Cooperative Purchasing Network)
