Earl Maxwell Endowed Scholarship

Purpose:

 

To assist students entering the business field through Accounting, Business Administration, Financial Management, Management, or Marketing.  Scholarship named in honor of Earl Maxwell, a founding member of the Austin Community College Foundation and a founding partner in Maxwell Locke & Ritter LLP.

Criteria:

  • Hold a GPA of at least 3.0 in all college work.  Students coming out of high school or holding a GED must achieve a 3.0 GPA their first semester to maintain the scholarship.
  • May only be used by students planning to enter the business field through Austin Community College’s Associate of Arts Accounting, Business Administration, Financial Management, Management, or Marketing program or transfer to a four year college or university in one of those programs.
  • Financial need as determined by the ACC Financial Aid Office

To apply, complete the ACC General Scholarship Application online or submit a paper application to any ACC Financial Aid Office

Terms of Scholarship:

 

  • The number of awards and the dollar amount will be based on the funds available.
  • Maintain a 3.0 GPA overall while on scholarship.
  • Enroll and complete a minimum of six hours each semester while on scholarship.

 

Application Deadline:   June 1st of each year
