Mary Harris joined the Grants Development Office in March 2008. Mary initially joined Austin Community College in 2002 as the Executive Director for Adult Education.
Mary currently is pursuing her doctoral degree in Educational Administration from the University of Texas at Austin. She holds an MBA from Brenau University in Georgia and a Bachelor of Arts in Radio/TV Broadcasting from the University of Dayton in Ohio.

Ms. Garcia joined Austin Community College in November 2006. Most recently, she served as an Assistant Director of Development/Grant Writer for over seven years with the University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College.
Currently she is pursing her doctoral degree in Educational Administration from University of Texas at Austin-Community College Leadership Program, focusing on community college fundraising and financing issues.
She holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the Lyndon Bains Johnson School of Public Affairs and a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Texas A & M University in College Station.
Susan Patterson

Ms. Patterson joined Austin Community College in September 2007.
Susan
has previously worked
as a proposal coordinator in San Antonio, Texas and as a
grant coordinator for a non-profit
counseling center in New Braunfels, Texas.
She is pursuing a
doctoral degree in English (Rhetoric and Composition) at Texas A & M University
in College Station.She holds a Masters Degree in English from Texas State University and an undergraduate degree
in English from the College of Charleston in South Carolina.
At Texas A & M, she taught technical
writing and rhetoric and composition and served as an
assistant editor for Kosmos, Journal of Czechoslovakian and Central European Literature. Susan also served as a critical non-fiction
reviewer for Callaloo, the Journal of the African Diaspora and as research assistant for the World Shakespeare
Bibliography Online.
