The 2009-2010 "Women In Green Jobs" campaign (made possible by the U.S. Department of Labor - Women's Bureau) was launched with the goal of doubling the number of women enrolling at ACC. A Green Job is an occupation that 1) directly works with policies, information, materials, and/or technologies that contribute to minimizing environmental impact, and 2) requires specialized knowledge , skills, training, or experience in these areas.

Texas remains at the forefront of the nation's energy industry. The total renewable energy "resources" in Texas, outstrip every other State! Energy from sunshine falling on a single acre of land in West Texas, is capable of producing the energy equivalent of 800 barrels of oil - each year. The future of Green Tech Jobs in Texas - looks BRIGHT.
