Operates a variety of service learning programs that provide skills and environmental training in sustainable green construction, Public Land Improvements, and computer refurbishing, volunteer stipend and post secondary scholarships. Each of these programs works with the Charter High School and GED classrooms to obtain diplomas for enrollees if needed and actively recruits female participants.

The Austin EcoNetwork (AEN) is a network of people interested in information, events, and resources related to Austin and the environment. Austin EcoNetwork features a website with an online EcoCalendar, blogs, forums, and EcoDirectories where you will find environmentally-friendly businesses, environmental organizations, and government departments. A key service that thousands of Austinites are subscribing to, is the free bi-weekly Austin EcoNewsletter.

The City of Austin Emerging Technology Program works to attract, retain, and facilitate growth of emerging technology firms in Austin. We will serve as a central clearinghouse of information about opportunities and resources for networking, financing, market development and business development. The Emerging Technology Program target industries include: Clean Energy and Early-Stage Technology Commercialization.

Home to Central Texas only SBA Women's Business Center, specializing in meeting the needs of women entrepreneurs. We are ready to help make your business dreams a reality. BiGAUSTIN hopes to provide the necessary tools to initiate and grow these businesses through training, one-on-one counseling, effective roundtable discussions, innovative networking opportunities, and SBA Micro-enterprise lending programs.

Girlstart is a non-profit organization created to empower girls to excel in math, science, and technology. Founded in 1997 in Austin, Texas, Girlstart has quickly established itself as a best-case practices leader in empowering, educating, and motivating girls to enjoy and become more proficient in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).

We are proud to support the Women in Green Jobs program at ACC. The most important path to sustainable growth and opportunity is through education, with this groundbreaking program ACC is taking a significant leadership role in helping educate for the future. As a partner and advisor to the program our goal is to link our network and help educate the broader community on the importance of green, clean and sustainability in order to provide better opportunities for women.

SWE members serve as mentors and role models on many levels to both young women and professional women to demonstrate various aspects of Engineering as a highly desirable career aspiration for women, and to reinforce how engineering can empower women to succeed and advance in these aspirations. The Texas Girls Collaborative Project (TxGCP) connects organizations and individuals across Texas committed to motivating girls to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The TxGCP is part of the NSF-funded National Girls Collaborative Project.

To increase awareness of the potential of solar energy and other renewable energy applications and to promote the wise use of sustainable and non-polluting resources. The Women in Engineering Program (WEP) at the University of Texas-Austin, was established in 1992 to recruit more women engineering students, to increase the percentage of women engineering graduates and to promote a supportive environment that encourages the success of women in engineering

Workforce Solutions - Capital Area Workforce Board is the leadership and governing body for the regional workforce system. We are responsible for the planning, oversight, and evaluation of workforce development activities in the Austin/Travis County area. View the orientation presentation.
