As an organizational resource, human capital, means the organization’s employees, described in terms of their training, experience, judgment, intelligence, relationship, and insight - employee characteristics that can add economic value and increase the organization’s competitiveness. This course provides an overview of how organizations can increase their competitiveness by investing in state-of-the-art-staffing, training and compensation practices, how environmental influences affect human resource management, the practice of human resource management, from the student as a manager perspective and the student as an employee perspective, and the relevance of human resource management functions in achieving the goals of the organization through its effective and efficient use of it’s human capital.

Organizational Behavior is about everyday people who work and pursue careers today in new and highly demanding settings. It is about people who seek fulfillment in their lives and jobs in a variety of ways and in uncertain times. This course is designed to provide students with a solid understanding of organizational behavior in today’s quickly changing and fast-paced organization. BMGT 1341 - Business Ethics
Business Ethics addresses ethical issues, the development of a moral frame of reference, and the need for an awareness of social justice in management practices and business activities. Ethical responsibilities and relationships between organizational departments, divisions, executive management, and the public will be reviewed.
