Under Texas law, the College is a separate political subdivision. It is responsible for conducting elections to elect members of the Board of Trustees and to levy taxes and other election related matters including oversight of political action committees whose focus is support of candidates or measures in the ACC district. The Election Administrator is Linda Young, Special Assistant to the President for Governmental and Community Relations.
