Here are the steps for making a bookmark:
Line up three strips of paper and tape
them together on the back.
Measure sections that are the same width
as the original strips, so that you form squares.
Cut the tricolor band.
Rotate the sections 45 degrees and secure
with tape on the back.
Add a band to the top and bottom of the
diagonal sections matching edge of the band to the corners of the squares
and tape on the back to secure.
Trim the excess from the ends.
Read a book long enough that you need
to use your bookmark!
