About: Provides divorce and relationship counseling, psychotherapy, psychoeducational seminars and divorce support groups for individuals, couples and families who are struggling with the endings of important love relationships as well as building new ones. Services are also offered to single persons wanting to learn to live more effectively and joyfully.
Seminars:
The various seminar offerings address the needs of individuals who are sharing a common "life phase", be that the ending of a love relationship, the period of being single again in which much individual healing must take place, or when entering into new relationships. The seminars are highly interactive, emphasizing experiential learning as well as intellectual understanding. Large and small group settings are employed to facilitate the personal sharing. They begin the process of community building that continues well beyond the weeks spent in the classes. The seminars are led by experienced teachers and assisted by former graduates.
Three seminars are offered through the Center, When Your Relationship Ends, Successfully Single, and Building a Healthy Relationship. Each is a 30-hour program, meeting one night a week for ten weeks. The initial meeting for each is at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, 8134 Mesa Drive in Austin. Subsequent meetings are held in participants' homes. Classes begin at 7:00 pm and end at 10:00 pm. Classes are offered four times a year, in January, March, June and September. The first nights of these programs provide an overview of the seminars and are open to all interested parties without obligation. The fee for the seminars is $250 and payment plans are available. Insurance companies do not pay for these services. |
