Welcome to the Dental Hygiene Department |
A dental hygienist is a licensed health care professional. Dental hygiene is the science and practice of the recognition, treatment, and prevention of oral diseases. Graduates of the Dental Hygiene program are eligible to work in any number of health care settings such as private dental offices, schools, and nursing homes.

Students must follow the posted immunization schedules. The minimum time intervals must be met. Travel or accelerated schedules are NOT acceptable for Health Sciences Students. Please review immunization page for the most recent updates!

The Dental Hygiene program is not accepting new patients.
We will begin accepting new patients for the Spring semester beginning on January 19th, 2010. We book rather quickly, so you are encouraged to call within the first two weeks of the semester (fall and spring only) to have the best chance of being seen by our clinicians.
