Personal Fitness Trainer Program Application
The Personal Fitness Trainer program does NOT have the requirements of immunization documentation and criminal background check in order to be accepted into the program to pursue either the certificate or Associate of Applied Science Degree. Each year, approximately 12 to 16 students are accepted into the Personal Fitness Trainer program to begin coursework in the Fall. Priority for acceptance is given to individuals who
- can pursue either the certificate or the AAS degree as a full time student
- have displayed academic success previous to applying to the program
Individuals desiring to complete the program as a part-time student will be granted available seating on a contingency basis. New applications are accepted between Sept. 1 and May 1 of each year. Note: Admission to Austin Community College does not guarantee admission to any Health Sciences program.
Students interested in applying for admission to the Personal Fitness Program must do the following:

Step 1
Apply to ACC.
Step 2
Complete and submit the online application. All applications must be submitted by May 1.
Step 3
Attend an Information Session. Information Sessions will be offered in the first and/or second week of May for students interested in beginning Fall of the following academic year.
Step 4
Complete and submit the department application packet which will be distributed at the Information Session. If accepted, the department chair will notify you for instructions on registration for the Fall semester.
