Welcome to the Pharmacy Technician Department

Pharmacy technicians assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications. A combination of lecture, on-campus laboratory and clinical training prepares graduates for a variety of employment opportunities in community and hospital pharmacies.

New students are accepted into the Pharmacy Technician program each Fall, Spring and Summer semester. Applications must be received by July 1 for the fall semester, November 1st for the spring semester or April 1st for the summer semester. Applications are ranked using the the Applicant Ranking Worksheet, and are accepted to the program based on ranking. Note: Admission to Austin Community College does not guarantee admission to any Health Sciences program. Receipt of your application does not guarantee your acceptance into the program.
