Program Goals

The goals of ACC's Radiology program are as follows:

  1. Upon completion of the program, the graduate will satisfactorily demonstrate entry level clinical competency skills.
  2. The Radiography Program Students will demonstrate problem solving and critial thinking skills in the didactic and clinical components of the program.
  3. The students will demonstrate and practice professional growth and development.
  4. Upon completion of the program, the graduate will demonstrate satisfactory communication skills.

Mission Statement
Consistent with the mission of Austin Community College, the faculty of the Diagnostic Medical Imaging Program is committed to providing quality instruction by preparing the graduate to be employable at an entry level in general radiography and to be successful on the National Certification Examination in Radiography and by providing students the opportunity to participate in advanced imaging modalities such as Computerized Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Interventional Radiology, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine.
