Welcome to the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Program
spacer

Medical Imaging refers to the techniques and processes used to produce images of the human anatomy using modalities such as radiography, computerized tomography, nuclear medicine imaging, and a relatively new modality, Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Medical Imaging is used to reveal, diagnose or examine pathology including the study of normal anatomy and physiology.

MRI is primarily a medical imaging modality that utilizes the resonant frequency properties of atoms that are placed within a powerful magnetic field. MRI provides excellent contrast between different soft tissues of the body making it especially useful in neurological (brain), musculoskeletal, and cardiovascular imaging.

This certificate program ONLY begins in the fall. There is no spring or summer admitance.

The degree plan for the MRI Certificate can be found here.
