MRI Admission Definitions

To be eligible for the MRI program you must have a current certification in: Radiology R.T.(R)(ARRT), Sonography (RDMS), Nuclear Medicine R.T.(N)(ARRT), or Radiation Therapy R.T.(T)(ARRT). You must also have a minimum of 20 hrs/week for 1 year or 40 hrs/week for 6 months patient care experience.

Step 1

Apply to ACC.

Step 2

Complete a mandatory Information Sessions online.

  • A copy of the Verification Form must be submitted with the MRI application.

Step 3
Select Declared or Undeclared Form.

  • Declared applicant will be eligible to participate in the clinicals. These courses can be taken for credit or through Continuing Education.
  • Undeclared applicant can do the didactic but not the clinical. These courses may be taken for credit or through Continuing Education for non-credit.

Step 4
Fulfill all immunization requirements (some immunizations can take six months to complete). Undeclared applicants are not required to submit immunizations – no clinical.

Step 5
Print and fill out a MRI program application. Submit your program application and immunization form to the Health Sciences Admissions Office no later than 5 p.m. July 2nd or the next business work day if it falls on the weekend.

Step 6

Submit the MRI application by July 2nd with:

  • Information Session Verification form
  • Immunization Documentation if Declared applicant
  • Declared or Undeclared form
  • Unofficial copies of transcripts, other than ACC
  • Resume
  • Patient Care Experience form
  • Current certification card: Radiology R.T.(R)(ARRT), Sonography (RDMS), Nuclear Medicine R.T.(N)(ARRT), or Radiation Therapy R.T.(T)(ARRT)


Individuals accepted for MRI admission are required to complete a physical examination, tuberculosis test and a CPR course.
