The Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas establishes the eligibility requirements for obtaining a license as a registered nurse.  It is important for nursing students to know what these requirements are once admitted to a nursing program, because there are some situations that may cause a graduate to be ineligible to take the licensure examination.  All questions about licensure must be officially answered by the Board of Nurse Examiners.
