Estimated costs for tuition can be determined by referring to the ACC Course Schedule published each semester (print and online at www.austincc.edu). 

The associate of applied science degree programs begin during the summer semester. Each program of study includes 72 credit hours (six semesters) of classroom instruction, college laboratory experience, and clinical experience. Sonography courses must be taken sequentially, and students attend on a full-time basis.

Austin Community College offers two AAS degree plan programs of study in Sonography:

Associate of Applied Science

Diagnostic Medical Sonography

The medical sonography program prepares students to specialize in ultrasound imaging and evaluation of the abdomen and/or pregnancy. | Degree Plan

Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography (Echocardiography)

The cardiac sonography program prepares students to specialize in ultrasound imaging and evaluation of the heart. | Degree Plan

ACC offers one Certificate program of Study in Sonography :

Enhanced Skills Certificate

Vascular Technology (ESC-VT)

This optional program is available to AAS degree-plan students; the ESC-VT is completed during the spring semester following graduation. | Degree Plan
