This page is designed to provide resources and information for Adjunct Faculty about Information Technology services.

Help Center

The ACC Help Center helps ACC faculty and staff with a variety of problems including: e-mail, voice mail, and computer hardware problems. If you are having a problem or have a question about setting up your computer, contact the Help Center at 223-4357 or e-mail them at helpdesk@austincc.edu. If the Help Center technicians cannot answer your questions or assist you with your problem, they will put you in touch with someone who can assist you. You can also fill out a Service Request by clicking here.

Faculty Online Services

ACC Online Services provides a Web interface to information contained in the Datatel system. ACC faculty can use ACC Online Services to view their class schedule, obtain up-to-date class rosters, and enter student grades. ACC students can use ACC Online Services to register and pay for classes, add and drop during the designated add/drop period, print their schedules, view grades by term, check their financial aid, and obtain unofficial transcripts.    (more information)

ACCeID

You will need an ACCeID to login to many of our systems, such as the Faculty and Staff Login, Blackboard, and Wireless. To set-up your ACCeID, please visit the ACCeID Manager Login. For assistance setting up the ACCeID, please visit our ACCeID Help Page.

eStaffing

Adjunct faculty members can now apply for Multiple Semester Term Appointment (MSTA) positions through the eStaffing system. Alternatively, you can choose to decline. You will be notified of the time period during which you can apply. If you neither apply nor decline, you will receive email reminders until the application period ends.

If you have questions about MSTA positions, eligibility requirements, or selection criteria, you should discuss these with your Department Chair. It is recommended that you first familiarize yourself with the MSTA Guidelines, the MSTA FY09 Calendar, and the corresponding Administrative Rule. You will see links to this important information under the MSTA Application tab in eStaffing.

Voice Mail Information

If you need information on setting up and using your ACC voice mail click here.

E-mail

Information Technology provides e-mail accounts for all ACC faculty and staff. Email accounts for Faculty are created by an automated process so that accounts are available 45 days before the first day of employment. This provides faculty with the ability to have their email set up and ready to use on the first day of classes. Account information can be obtained by contacting the Help Center 223-HELP or helpdesk@austincc.edu

Faculty Adjunct Offices

Email is accessible from computers in the adjunct faculty offices on campuses. Instructions for setting up your individual email account on adjunct office computers will be posted next to the computers in the adjunct offices. Computer support staff on your campus or the Help Center can give you additional assistance with setting up your email account in an adjunct office.

World Wide Web Accounts:

ACC faculty and staff are eligible to have WWW accounts on our web server. For more information on signing up for a WWW account, please click here. For more information on creating and uploading your website, click here.

Wireless

ACC now provides wireless access to all Faculty/Staff while on campus. The ACC Faculty/Staff wireless network uses "over-the-air" communications and may be subject to unauthorized interception and are not inherently secure. We therefore cannot guarantee the privacy of your data and communications while using the ACC wireless service. For more information please refer to the Wireless Documentation page.

If your questions are not answered here please try our Welcome to ASK ACC page.

We hope this information will help get you started with our Services. If you have further questions regarding email, voice mail, or World Wide Web accounts, please contact the Help Center at helpdesk@austincc.edu.
