Setting Email Message Priority

What a priority setting on an email message does:

  • Notifies the receiver of how important the sender considers the message

What a priority setting on an email message does not do:

  • Does not cause higher priority messages to be delivered to recipients more quickly.
  • Does not cause higher priority messages to be delivered to email inboxes that are full and can't receive more messages.
  • Does not delete or overwrite old or lower priority messages so that high priority messages can be delivered.

Using Microsoft Outlook Express Outlook Express Icon

  1. Open Outlook Express
  2. Create a new email message and in the toolbar select the down arrow to get a list of choices to choose from to set your email message priority.
