The HIPAA Task Force conducts audits of HIPAA Components to oversee compliance with the HIPAA guidelines. All covered entities, business associates, and non-business associates will be audited on a rotating schedule. Data from the audit is aggregated and analyzed to determine if the departments are compliant with the HIPAA privacy regulations and if any assistance is needed to facilitate compliance.
