Ms. Hirsh designed the Directed Physical Fitness Concepts course for students who are involved with changing schedules throughout the semester due to clinicals and demanding jobs. The most recent couse development has been a Hybrid First-Aid and Safety course that requires that students only attend the classroom once a week for 6, three hour sessions for CPR skills and complete the remaining course online through Blackboard. See the syllabus for KINE 1306 on the web.
 
She has been teaching everything from golf to aerobics for many years; it's what keeps her young at heart. Ms. Hirsh's philosophy and enthusiasm for fitness can be summed up in one word, "Wellness": finding balance in your life through exercise, proper nutrition, enjoyment and participation in the arts, family, and community. Her advice to all college students is take your time and enjoy your college years and try as many activities and subjects as you can.

Prof Hirsh also has a passion for Ceramics that she has received extensive instruction in from ACC instructors: Ishmeal Soto and Mike Grafa, among others. She runs and owns Cone 10 Ceramic Studio in Austin with the help of three ceramic partners.
